Mine isnt too happy right now…
My scalp feels tight, mildly sunburnt for some reason and my hair is limp and lifeless. Its interesting that my scalp only felt bad after using the new Pantene Aqua Light Shampoo and Conditioner. Not impressed Pantene!
After taking a trip to a nearby hair salon, the Natural Hair Company, they recommended the Kerastase Bain Age Recharge.
This is a Lipo-Replenishing Shampoo for Tight Scalps and Hair losing Vitality. Well, sounds right about right doesnt it?!
I have only used this once so far, but I just wanted to show you all my current hair care routine in order to make my hair grow extra long in a healthy and manageable way. Bearing in mind I have had no heat in my hair for 2 months.
Since having no heat in my hair, I have definitely noticed a difference, I straightened my hair for the first time last week and I have to say I really hated it, it just looked blagh… My hair is naturally kinky and a teeny bit wavy and I loooove it!!
The current hair routine
So here we have:
Frederick Fekkai Luscious Curls Spray
This is designed to be sprayed onto the hair when damp and then scrunched to enhance your natural curls or waves. This has to be the best thing for my hair right now, it makes my hair feel soft, not frizzy and my waves get deeper and more defined. It would however look better with longer hair… I will get there!
Kerastase Resistance Age Recharge Shampoo
As mentioned above this has only been used once, but already my scalp feels a little more calmed.
Samy Fat Hair Thickening Cream
This is great for people like myself that want to air dry their hair. Most thickening or volumising products need heat to activate them, but this doesnt. It adds great volume and makes my hair feel sooooo soft! Amazing!
Lush Big Shampoo
Almost finished this pot, I am sure you have read countless reviews on this so I wont bore you 🙂 I use this once a week to fully get rid of any product build up from the thickening cream, not that I have noticed any though!
Alva Pure Abundance Conditioner
Not pictured, but its in the post coming to me soon! It sounds like an amazing product, I cant wait to try it!
I am trying my best not to use silicone products in my hair, as it weighs it down so much because it is so fine and I dont have much of it! I noticed as well that the Lee Stafford “For hair that never grows past a certain length” Treatment is FULL of silicone… what a bummer… I was onto my second tub too before Sarah did a post on silicones and I checked the ingredients in all of my hair products. So dissapointing! Thank you so much for your post though, very informative.
So let this picture bench mark my hair growth: Cue ultimate posing…
Hee hee! So my hair is now barely below my shoulders… I want it down to my Boobies though! 😀
If you have any recommendations for treatments or ways of growing my hair and keeping it looking awesome… please tell me!!
