I bought this Lush Jungle solid conditioner over 4 weeks ago I smelt it, and absolutely loved it. It smelt like trees or herbs with a hint of a fruity scent … hence the name Jungle I am guessing… It wasn’t nice at all for my hair but I have to say I really like the smell of it.
Solid Conditioner to tame all hair types. Helen Ambrosen was the first person to make a solid conditioner work and we are mightily proud of her. She discovered that cocoa butter will slide on to your hair to make it softer, then dissolve in water to leave it shiny and smooth. Jungle feels different on your hair from liquid conditioner; in fact, until you wash it off you hardly notice it’s there. It’s worth getting the hang of it though, because it’s great at giving hair a smoothing, detangling, fruitily scented coat of shininess. Smooth it along the length of your hair from root to tip, then rinse out like liquid conditioner. Dry your hair and your comb will slide through your former tangles like a hot knife through cocoa butter.
I had to cut up Lush Jungle Conditioner as well, as my small hands couldn’t hold it all! haha! I ran it through my hair and I felt that nothing was transferring. As it states above, ‘until you wash it off you hardly notice it’s there.’ I did wash it off… and still nothing, It didn’t feel any different. Normally when I use a conditioner my hair is so soft when its wet and I can just run my fingers through it to remove any excess, but with this, it just felt exactly the same every time I used it…. Tatty and Tangled… For this Lush product, it didn.t do exactly what it states on the tin.
The conditioner did however leave my hair greasy and heavy. My hair is very fine and any kind of weight makes it look greasy and lank. By the end of the day I felt so gross, I had to tie my hair up and put my fringe back with a bobby pin.
I tried using Lush Jungle Conditioner in so many ways, but my hair still felt tangled and it was so hard to comb afterwards. I wont be buying this again, but it was a nice idea. My hair needs extreme volume products, because even ‘extreme’ makes my hair look that little bit more bouncy. Its a family curse 🙁 no amount of blow drying with my head hanging upside down lasts for too long.
Can any of you recommend any shampoos/ conditioners that will actually work for volume? I feel like fighting a losing battle at the moment!
