I am reviewing Instant Age Rewind liquid foundation makeup from Maybelline. It says it is a radiant firming makeup with goji berry and caffeine. It has SPF 18 sunscreen feature, for all skin type and comes in glass bottle with standard foundation amount 30 ml/ 1 fl. My bottle is in 220 Sandy Beige.
It says drug facts: active ingredient is 4.5% of Octinoxate. I am sorry that I forgot and should have taken pictures of the ingredient side which is inside and have to peel off. Also forgot to take pics of foundation color, swatch and bottle lips. My bad!
I bought this from U.S through my friend. I ordered this to test on my aunt when I had to do makeup for her while she has interview with one TV program from my country, Burma/Myanmar. My aunt is a stereo aged singer in my country. She is like 60 or 61/62 years old. I ordered this for her but she does not like Maybelline products and I had to keep it myself. 😀
I also tried this on myself for few times to do a review. I bought this foundation because I was attracted by these words, ‘instant age rewind’, ‘radiant firming makeup’ , ‘special formula with goji berry and caffeine to firm and improve skin condition’. So, I tried this on my aunt’s 60 years old+ skin and also on my 26 years old skin. 😀
It looked good on both of ours skins. It has some shimmer in the foundation. I does not look heavy or thick, but it gives good coverage. It is also light weight and long lasting. I wore the makeup for 7-8 hrs without touch up on my oily skin and it looked good till I got home and looked at myself in the mirror. But I don’t like the smell of foundation, it is a latex smell, typical foundation smell. It is not good for photography. It is only good for every day wear. I am not sure it looks good in TV as I did not get a chance to look through my aunt from the camera or in TV program as I came back to Bkk. She was just sitting at living room and had interview with people from TV. There were lighting set up in the living room and recorded the interview. I hope it looked good in TV. I was on visiting trip to my hometown and did not have everything in my kit that time. So, I used that makeup for her TV interview.
Overall, it is a nice foundation makeup. The main things I don’t like about this product is the packaging and the smell of foundation. The packaging is just a glass bottle with a cap. No pump and it is so hard to control the amount of foundation coming out. I really hate that part the most.
[ She was wearing this foundation in the photo. The picture looks not nice as it is not taken in natural light with a nice camera. It was taken inside the house with fluorescent light and with somebody’s camera ]
Have you heard of this foundation? Have you tried or any experiences? 🙂
